Banks offer individual cardholders such a service as overdraft. Now you can get a credit over the remainder of cash assets on the account of plastic card in the form of overdraft. So, what is overdraft of the credit account? It is a credit, provided to the cardholders, when a customer withdraws an amount of money, which exceeds the remainder of funds on his account. It is a usual banking operation, practiced all over the world. It is really convenient when you are travelling or when you are purchasing expensive goods.

And they add the interest only since the moment of purchase, cash advance and only to the actual amount of money. The international payment systems Visa and MasterCard are providing overdraft services. Today it is really widespread. It is a usual banking customer-oriented practice. What is special about this credit product is that they open a credit line on a plastic (no matter business, consumer, or cash back credit card). The cardholder has an opportunity to get a credit anytime. But since the customer has withdrawn the overdraft, he has to pay it back within 30 days. If a cardholder hasn't made payment on time, they add double interest rates. Such credit products for individuals are in demand.

This credit product is an alternative to the average consumer crediting. The major difference is that the customer doesn't have to go to the bank each time he needs to pay his bills.

If you have a limit of overdraft you can make several purchases at a time, even if you don't have enough money on your account. If you have a limit you can afford an expensive purchase or even several ones. For instance, you need to buy a new washer. They add the interest only after you pay for it. Tomorrow you will buy a new TV set. The sum of credit increases, so as the APR on purchases. So, if purchases are made not at a time, there is no need to take all the sum of credit and pay the APR on it. The APR for overdraft varies from 15% to 19%, depending on the bank and the currency.

The APR for overdraft is much lower than consumer crediting APR. Overdraft may be used either in full amount or partially. In case of shortage of funds, the customer automatically gets up to 90% of monthly wage in overdraft. For instance, in case with an average consumer credit, the cardholder gets a particular amount of money, no matter whether he is going to spend it all, or partially, right now or later. Now you can use your credit at your discretion, as the interest is added to the actual remainder of the debt and helps to save on low APR considerably.

Credit overdraft will be developing, as it is a reasonable and civilized way of payment. If you are a credit cardholder with the permitted overdraft you don't have to worry that you may be run out of money. Just don't lose your head and remember that you will have to pay off the borrowed funds and use it accordingly to your income.
